Last Minute? No Worries!

Christmas is a week and one day away! This is a pretty hectic time of year, especially when Thanksgiving falls so late in November that you essentially lose a whole week of potential Christmas shopping time. If you find yourself in need of some last minute gifts for those hard-to-shop-for-people in your life, don't worry - we've got you covered!

Thought I would share some more pretty stationery that some sisters are receiving this Christmas.  These are Crane & Co. small correspondence cards with their names engraved and the borders hand painted in the matching link.  I love the classic simplicity of these!

TGIF - Pretty Stationery

In the midst of all our Holiday Card orders we've also had some thoughtful clients who have ordered some lovely stationery as Christmas and Hanukkah gifts for family members.  The above stationery order is one such example.  It is a lovely, thick, letterpressed correspondence card with a painted edge and floral liner.  I adore it and hope that the recipient does too!  

I'll share some more next week, but thought this was  a nice one to start the weekend with.  

It's That Time of Year!

Alright - it's that time of year when you have to start thinking about the next year!  For example, I went to the dentist recently and needed to schedule my next appointment in 6 months.  But my date book ends in January, which reminded me that I need to order my 2014 Graphic Image date book (which I did yesterday).  So I thought I would post a little reminder so that you too could order your 2014 date book and start getting organized! My 2013 date book is flourecent pink so this coming year I thought I would tone it down a bit and went with kelly green.  I love starting a new calendar - it just feels so fresh and clean.  Give us a call or stop by and let us know what color you want!

A few of my favorite things

The good news is that we've been busy decorating the store for the holidays, taking holiday card orders, designing fun holiday invitations and taking gift orders.  The bad news is that the blog has been slightly neglected.  With that being said, I thought I would share a couple pictures of things that I am loving right now.  The top picture is of some lovely monogrammed hand towels that were ordered for Christmas gifts.  I love the pique fabric and monogram this client selected and I love the size of the monogram.  What a great gift!  Then, I am a sucker for Crane & Co.'s engraved holiday gift enclosure cards.  The above picture really doesn't do them justice as they are truly striking in person.  

I'll try to be better about posting!  But really you should try and stop by the store and see all of our fabulous holiday inventory.

Design Corral

I am super excited to announce that we have a fabulous new line of invitations and holiday cards.  I am even more excited to announce that we are 1 of 10 retailers in the United States to have this line (I love special attention).  Design Corral has beautifully designed cards that have both a classic and modern feel to them.  They have 2 choices of card stock weight, one of which is a super, fabulous, thick recycled card stock!  You can also have them create custom envelope liners and more!  It is my latest obsession.

Holiday Shopping Card

The American Cancer Society's

Holiday Shopping Card begins tomorrow!!!

Annually The American Cancer Society sells a $50 "Holiday Shopping Card" which enables the purchaser to save 20% at a TON of locally participating stores, dry cleaners, restaurants, etc.  The profit from the purchase of the card benefits The American Cancer Society - so basically it is like guilt free shopping
(what could be better).  

French Blue & Hayden Avery are selling the cards and participating in the 20% off sale.  The Holiday Shopping Card runs from Thursday, October 24th through Sunday, November 3rd.  This is the time to start checking your holiday gifts off your list and the time to buy your Christmas card.

Your Cell Phone Needs A Little Pick-Me-Up

I'm not ashamed to bring it up again - I LOVE cell phone cases! And, guess what? Graphic Image is now carrying some fantastic new cell cases! They're LEATHER. How cool is that? And they can be monogrammed - also cool! Don't deny yourself. You deserve a little treat so come in and order one! Holiday Tri-fold

A couple of weeks ago we wrote a post on Dauphine Press' holiday card sale (Here).  I thought I would share a picture of one of their lovely tri-fold cards that we just received.  I'm actually really excited about holiday cards this year because I think so many of our vendors have REALLY lovely designs.  Apparently, everyone had been super creative this year!  

O.K. - back to the tri-fold!  The patterns, the fonts, the ink colors make it such a stand out.  You could also put a wallet sized photo in the middle panel (where the pattern is shown) to make it a photo card.  So Lovely!

Hung On Words

One of our ubber talented vendors, Denise Copp of Hung On Words, recently sent me some pictures of some new trays that she's painted (which is why I went heavy on the pictures today - but isn't that really why people look at blogs?).  I adore her work and personally have one of her lovely, hand painted trays in my home.  These trays come in all different sizes and shapes.  You get to select patterns, monogram styles/art work and can even send her fabric swatches if you would like to have the tray match your decor perfectly!  Being the type-A personality that I am - I love her attention to detail.  These make fabulous wedding gifts and Christmas gifts.  With the holidays fast approaching - you ought to add these to your list!

Here's an insider secret - We are sending out a big email on Monday announcing that all of our Halloween merchandise is 25% off.  However, if you read this blog, then you already know - so I guess that means that you could go ahead and call or come in and purchase your Hallowen stuff on sale now!!!  We have cute cocktail napkins, hand painted signs, greeting cards and of course, invitations.  It is NOT too late to plan a party...

October! Halloween!

It’s finally October! This is my favorite time of year and Halloween is possibly my favorite “holiday”. We have some great Halloween invitations so if you’re planning a haunted house, hosting a trick-or-treat party or just love all things Halloween, stop by and peruse our delightfully spooky selection.

Sip and See Cocktail Napkins

I am in LOVE with these cocktail napkins one of our customers ordered for a sip-and-see!  We did this style of napkin with the script monogram a couple of months ago for a different client.  I really do like this block, circular monogram too.  They definitely make a statement.  

Long Time Love

The above invitation is an Anna Griffin invitation that we have had in the store for over a year.  I loved this invitation when I picked it out in Atlanta and I still love this invitation.  I know that it is a specific look - but personally I love a good blue and white fabric, tea jar, men's shirt, etc.  So we could go as far to say that yes, this is my look.  However, we recently printed it for a brunch invitation and seeing it printed made me love it even more!  I think it is so pretty, unique and classic all at the same time.  We still have a few boxes left...

Dauphine Press just sent us a teaser for their holiday collection and it doesn't disappoint!  We are close to having all our new holiday designs from our various vendors.  It is so much fun to see new, creative designs.  Most of our vendors are running holiday discount specials right now too!

We are having a busy Wednesday here at French Blue & Hayden Avery.  I for one am MUCH more productive when I have more work than less work.  Today we put 500 personalized cups into sleeves of 10's and then tied bows on all 50 sleeves, printed some super cute sip-n-see invitations and printed some great couples stationery.

All in a days work!
